As a student, how can I get involved at the Institute?
On occasion, we seek student assistants. We usually recruit through the departments -- such as Psychology or Speech & Hearing Sciences -- with which our researchers are associated. You may also inquire about student or volunteer positions by emailing ilabs@u.washington.edu.
Can I take a tour of the Institute?
To avoid interrupting the research process, we don't usually offer
public tours of the Institute. However, we will try to answer any questions
that you may have. Email us at ilabs@u.washington.edu.
Can you recommend any books that explain the kind of research you do at the Institute?
Our co-directors collaborated with Alison Gopnik, Ph.D., on a book that
explains much of the child-oriented research we do. The Scientist in the Crib is a
highly readable, interesting look at the work we do and its value to the world.
