In summer of 2003, a planning group met for a two-day workshop at the Institute to discuss collaborating on the NSF Science of Learning Center proposal. The workshop was highly productive. Several interdisciplinary projects were launched and the NSF proposal was later written and funded. We fondly remember the summer of ‘03 workshop, as it was a sunny meeting by all meanings of that phrase.
